UFS Explorer Bitlocked drive unlocking???

November 16th, 2023, 9:28

I have a small question???

So i just installed UFS Explorer on My computer. Trying to recover a file just recently deleted
My computer has 2 Bitlocked partitions. That are open in Windows ( Fully accessible)

Isn't UFS Explorer should be able to access those to partitions and scan them???
Upon clicking on those 2 partitions i don't have the option to scan them.

I have the option to decrypt them either with password or with BEK file. What should the password be??? Windows login password?? Microsoft Password???
Because i tried all kind of passwords and haven't been able to decrypt them

Can anybody help and explain???

Many Thanks!!!

Try select logical drive letter rather than partition?

Providing a direct link to the article with instructions would have solved the problem faster. But links to your own site, as far as I remember, are prohibited. You may enter request in Google like: "UFS Explorer Bitlocker" and you will find article.

In addition to the BEK file, there are also two decryption options: password and recovery key.
If you are installing Bitlocker on an external drive, you must enter a password (it's not a Windows password, it's a separate password). You will also be asked where to save the recovery key. There are 3 options: save to cloud (windows account), save in txt files, print it.
Typically recovery key looks like:
