Unlocking - Western Digital HDD's In MRT

Hello ,
I paid for my monthly charge and also updated to Ver 2.1.8.3 ,I thought i could unlock The WDC ROMS if i read in programmer and give rom code in a file to mrt tool and program unlock file back to rom and get down to work .Unfortunately it Searches for MT Ver 3.0 Programmer ,Am i wrong somewhere

What a sick way of making money .External programmer required to do this ,Do HDDs also require Com Port access even in ver 2183 ,OR drive is unlocked and no com access required to initialize it initially .
