Samsung 850 EVO - Firmware problem

July 10th, 2023, 9:23

Hello guys,

i have this Samsung SSD 850 EVO MZ-75E2T0. It was in a RAID 0 with 4 SSDs. One of them has a firmware problem and PC3k is not supporting the controller (see picture)...
The SSD gets power but its not getting ready... the controller is getting hot (like 55-60 C).

Does anyone have any ideas what i can try? Is reballing the controller a solution? Someone any experience?
Thank you!

Firmware is on the nand. If the controller has crapped out you can swap it but it's more likely to be a firmware issue which will have no support in commercial tool support, I regularly have to return these as unrecoverable.

Lardman, Thank you for your reply. Are you sure that the controller is repleaceable? I guess the encryptionkeys are unike on the controller.. isnt it?
